What does WEEE mean?
WEEE stands for “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment”. The implementation of the European Union’s WEEE Directive began in the EU member states in August 2005. It contains regulations on the recycling and correct disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment by manufacturers. The WEEE Directive is implemented by the individual EU national governments.
