What does WEEE mean?<\/strong>
\nWEEE stands for “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment”. The implementation of the European Union’s WEEE Directive began in the EU member states in August 2005. It contains regulations on the recycling and correct disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment by manufacturers. The WEEE Directive is implemented by the individual EU national governments.<\/p>\n

WEEE guidelines of CT-VIDEO GmbH<\/strong>
\nCT-VIDEO GmbH offers products of category 2 (screens, monitors and devices containing screens with a surface area of more than 100 cm\u00b2 for the exclusive use in other than private households), category 4 (large appliances for non-domestic use only) and category 6 (small information and telecommunication technology equipment for non-domestic use only), which are classified as business-to-business items under the WEEE Directive. As a producer, CT-VIDEO GmbH has implemented certain recycling\/disposal procedures, including registration with the official institution in Germany, so that the equipment is recognized under the Directive. The registration number (WEEE number) of CT-VIDEO GmbH is WEEE-Reg. No. DE 76377571.<\/p>\n

At the customer’s request, CT-VIDEO GmbH will take back products manufactured by it that have reached the end of their service life and are covered by the WEEE Directive in order to recycle or dispose of them in accordance with the WEEE guidelines.<\/p>\n

Within the EU, affected customers must contact CT-VIDEO GmbH in Lutherstadt Eisleben to obtain the relevant information and advice on the disposal of old appliances.<\/p>\n

What is the WEEE marking?<\/strong>
\nWEEE products produced by CT-VIDEO GmbH (or their packaging) are marked with the crossed-out wheeled garbage can symbol. It indicates that appliances must not be disposed of together with normal commercial or household waste.<\/p>\n

How is recycling\/disposal carried out?<\/strong>
